The resolution will be fine...trust me. But like you said, if you dont like it.... just send it back and get the 1680x1050.Either way, I'm sure you're going to love the laptop.

Thank you very much Mac, after hours of mental deliberation, it's sure nice to hear some comforting words on my choice :D I have no doubt after viewing the comments on the laptop it will be a great purchase, can't wait to have it at home.

Just want to bump for some new questions! I was wondering about the current existing problems on the m1530 (and many other laptops) like the CPU whine. Does this problem still exist?

I set up three polls that may be of interest.

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=210649
(See links in first post for the other two polls)

They probably can't be considered absolutely accurate... but so far they seem to suggest to me that you are more likely to get an LG if you get a 1440x900.
It sounds like you can work with Dell to get an LG replacement screen... after you receive your laptop.

Also, I don't know how bright the other screens are... but my M1530's 1440x900 LG screen is too bright for me most of the time. I usually run it turned down a few notches.

Cool, thanks for the info! I'm actually leaning towards the 1440x900 now, I saw the MBP at Best Buy (which I believes runs in 1440x900), and it seems like a good size; anything smaller and my eyes might fall out.
