I just received my Inspiron 9300 from Dell with these specs:

    1.73 Ghz Pentium M
    WUXGA Screen W/TrueLife
    256 MB 6800 GO
1 G RAM (I know this can be done cheaper, but my company paid for it, so I didnt wanna mess around)
XP Home (I dont need pro)
2 year warranty/ 2 year complete care (Originally 1, but Dell upgraded me for free, I sent them an Email, was originally gonna pay for the upgrade, but Ive bought 6 computers in the past year for my business, so they threw it in for free, I LOVE DELL!)
    2915 Wireless W/Bluetooth

I used a $750 off coupon that I found on techbargains.com which brought the total to

    $1430.00 Plus shipping, I paid total $1520

I think this is a pretty good deal, now I cant wait to watch a DVD on this sucker.

As far as the screen goes, I have VERY little light leakage, if I hadn't read about it on these forums, I dont think I would have even noticed!

Im really happy with these notebooks (I bought an 6000D a month ago, and it is also very high quality).

I think Dell builds MUCH better quality than pretty much any notebook found in stores (Best Buy, Circuit City), and DEFINETLY better for the price, nothing even comes close!

So, if youre looking into getting a 9300, and you can find a decent deal, I say go for it! You wont be dissappointed!

I have a question for some of you with the TV Tuner. Im looking into ordering one, but I would llike to know if anyone knows how the WUXGA Truelife screen resolution compares to HD TVs. Is it similar? Greater resolution? Less resolution? Can you receive HD signals on the TV Tuner? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I looked at the same laptop, but decided to go with the Gateway 7508gx.

I was all set to go with the 9300, but Dell wouldnt honor the 40% off coupon because I was going through a business account and the coupon was only good for "home users".

I'm very impressed with my Gateway. The specs are similar, except this is a mobile Athlon 64 @2.2 ghz.

The resolution on your laptop is better than HDTV.

    i don't think i could've gotten a 9300 which has the option for the 256 MB 6800 go..and not get it because the specific coupon won't allow u 2 choose it...i would've either waited for a better coupon...or gotten something else...jus my $0.02 :p :p
