Does anyone know where to find legit dell laptop chargers? I need one for a Dell Inspiron 1720 but don't want to run into the problem of the charger not charging for the battery. Ebay looks to be filled with 3rd party Dell chargers that won't work because of the onboard chip Dell puts in their laptops. Is mobilepowersupply.com a reliable site for them? Thanks in advance!

Almost every cheapo eBay charger I've bought over the past couple years has worked fine (though I've never used any for more than a couple months). If they haven't worked, it's been a defect or a motherboard problem. Experience seems to vary greatly, though, so I can't really speak for anyone other than myself.

Hmm...anyone else have any opinions on this matter? More voices are always nice. I am a bit worried about this :/ Thanks again!

Genuine OEM Dell AC adapters on eBay generally aren't that expensive. I've gotten several new PA-2E and PA-3E adapters for between $10 and $30. No need to go aftermarket (I wouldn't trust them anyways).

Could you link me to sellers you've gone through in the past for Pa-3e chargers (since I'm looking for one that will charge the Inspiron 1720)? Thanks!

If you are on a budget, try a 3rd-party adapter. Be sure choose the store which comes with warranty. Try this store www.chargerbuy.com. Chargers on this site carry 12 months warranty.

I honestly wouldn't trust any other charger for my laptop. I would drop the extra cash on a certified charger than a 3rd party one.

    Just my 2 cents.

Buy genuine Dell adapters. 3rd party adapters don't last as long. Also if you have any further questions about a Dell adapter or 3rd party, please create a new thread.
