I just received my 6000D and I plugged it into the wall and I did not notice any light on the computer to indicate that it is charging. IS there supposed to be a charging indicator light while the computer is powered off to let you know if and when the computer is done charging? Thanks

Yes, the battery light (the 3rd light on the right) should be either flashing or be on while it is charging.

Even if the computer is powered off and windows is shut down? Or the 3rd light on the right is only flashing or on when the computer is on?
