I bought my wife a 1720 about 4-6 weeks ago - and she loves it. It has WXGA+ anti-glare screen - I got that for her because she does a lot of Photoshop/Lightroom work.

Now my new 1520 has arrived with WSXGA glossy screen and she thinks it's better than hers and has started asking about swapping her screen on her laptop. I don't think that's possible, but thought I would ask here. Would Dell do that or would I have to buy the part from Dell and try and swap it myself? I think that's just fraught with risk and I don't think I would even try it.

I have told her she is stuck with what she has........

Thanks - looks a little complicated for me  So if I wanted Dell to do it how would this happen - would we have to send it into a depot/service center? Or do they have authorized agents in major cities (we're in LA). Secondly, how much would a replacement 17" glossy WSXGA screen be?
