Hi again!
As you can see below, I've got a Pentium M 1.86 processor. When I bought my i9300, I had the option, for a few hundred dollars to get an M 2.0 processor. I couldn't see the value of spending that much for what seemed to be so little of a difference. Was I wrong?
Now, I'm curious about the idea of 'upgrading' my processor to a Pentium M processor 2.26. It looks like it'll cost me some $500 to do so. So, again, is it worth it? Even more important, is it even possible?

I can't imagine spending 500 for a processor. The 1.86 should be good for the life of your notebook, or at least the next couple of years.

I agree. I'm just curious. Thanks SG.

Upgrade the hard drive or memory. You'll void th warranty by openning the case.

I agree with zazonz, upgrade your hard drive to a 7200 RPM hard drive or upgrade your RAM. You will notice a larger performance increase from those two upgrades more than getting a 400MHz faster processor.

correct me if i'm wrong, but I didn't think the i9300 supported anything higher than a 2.0.
