    Far out, after weeks of planning to switch to mac; I see an ad for dell laptop

    The price has DROPPED by at least 1500!

    Checkout these specs, 2800AUD, whereas the 2.4Ghz macbook PRO is 3599 with less specs.

    /sigh look how cheap, If I customized that a few weeks ago it would be well over 3800...

    Sorry mac, By the way guys, Whats the difference in the sound option?

    There is an option for HD AUDIO ADVANCED software for an extra 20 bucks...

    The sound chip inside the laptop is a Sigmatel one and the option for HD Advance is a software made by Creative Labs that adds feature and enhance sound quality to it in Windows. So it is a software solution, not a hardware chip. With both options you get the same Sigmatel audio chip. DELL calls it Audigy audio but it is really a software solution and not a hardware one, it is confusing because a lot of people think they actually have an Audigy sound card in their laptop. You can search "Audigy Advanced MB" in Google for more information on this. I would not recommend to buy it.
