Hello all, I am wondering if it is possible to ask Dell Technical Support to downgrade your LCD in hopes of obtaining an LG screen, even if you agree to waive the $50 difference? (I mean specifically downgrade from the WSXGA+ to the WXGA+).

I've noticed that majority of the WXGA+ screens are the LG, where as the majority (if not all?) of the WSXGA+ are Samsung.

Has anyone had experience with this? I know some members were erroneously sent the wrong LCD resolution but I wonder if you can actually request such a process?

They did it on their own without asking me, and i was one happy camper. When i bought my system at the beginning of the month, it was a $100 dollar differenc--in wich they credited back to my account.

I suppose you could get it done just contact them and ask them. Or ask if they can get the LG is the resolution that you paid for originally.
