I apologize if this question has been answered somewhere else previously, but when I searched the forums a specific topic did not come up, so here goes:

Does anyone know if you are able to change the backlit LED colors (typically blue) on an xps m1330? My friend has an xps m1710, and I just found out yesterday that you're able to change the LED colors on it through BIOS or the QuickSet utility, but I can't find anything of the sort on my m1330.

Just to clarify, I'm talking about the LEDs that illuminate the the numlock/wifi/bluetooth indicators/media buttons across the top of the keyboard (and also the power and activity indicators at the bottom) which are typically blue.

Thanks in advance for your help.

No way to change them on the m1330, sorry.

(Unless you want to open your laptop, void your warranty, and have some pretty good soldering skills)

Only M1710's and M1730's can do that, I'm afraid.

i know how you can change their color w/o opening up the laptop...

wear some yellow tinted for green or red tinted glasses for purple! :D
