Is it hard to change the HD in a Dell 700m? I was going to buy one with a 30G HD and replace it with an 80G HD.

    Thanks

No. There is a panel on the bottom. You pop it off, take out the hard drive, put the new one in and put the new hard drive in.

Does software come on the hard drive or can I just use dell's restore cd that comes with the notebook?

    Thanks

I would suggest putting both drives in a desktop (need adapters for that) and using norton ghost or other program to copy all the files over.
