Im wondering if this came with all Dell m1330 deals because its not in any of the 3 I received.

Is it possible its something I log into with my service tag?

Can someone lead me on where to find this if possible?

It was also on my initial order then had to be removed in a later order as it was one of the reasons for cancellations. I am sure many came with the complimentary 10Gb datasafe. For some reason I am wondering if it was received or removed from other reorders as well.

It was included on my invoice, but like you, I have no idea how to use it.

I wondered if how to use it got wiped out when I reformatted the machine (first thing I did before using it).

Called XPS Support to help me with this however I figured it out myself since they had *NO* information whatsoever.

    Here's what you do:

Go here https://www.delldatasafe.com/ and sign up for a new account

    1) Choose the option that was included with your order (mine was the 10GB for 1yr) and click the TERMS & CONDITIONS button.

    2) Accept the T&S and click ACCOUNT INFORMATION

    3) Enter your personal information and click CONFIRM ORDER

    4) Confirm the information is correct and click SUBMIT ORDER

On the CART SUMMARY page, simply close it and do not continue any further since this is already included in your original order.

You should now have a confirmation email with an ACTIVATION link on it. Click this link and enter in three pieces of information, your Email address and password you just setup and the Order Number from your ORIGINAL Laptop order!!

Once you've got that confirmed you will be presented with a download link for an .msi file.

    Hope this helps!

It came preinstalled on my mine. I haven't tried it or even activated it yet though.

First thing I did was wipe my m1330 when I got it so if it was installed, I never even saw it! :)

Just installed it and...I like it. I disabled it as an autostart option and with automatic backups but the idea is great for most users.

I am curious how confidential my info is on their server like that however.

    Rep 2 u khris...Invaluable.

Store everything as an "Encrypted Archive" (if you have the FPR) and then you won't have to worry as much about someone's prying eyes! :)
