    Hi Everyone,

I have a question for those that have the Case Logic XNS or SNS 13" sleeves for their m1330s. How is the fit and does it offer good protection?

I am pretty sure some of you who posted in the owner's lounge mentioned that you ordered your systems with a case logic sleeve. I would really appreciate the help..

Ok - this is an update for those looking to purchase the SNS sleeve. A friend of mine recently picked up a SNS-13 and it does not fit the m1330 properly. The zipper will ding the corners around the screen. Unfortunatley, the next size in the SNS series is 15.4" which will be too big. The next size on the XNS series is a 14.1 and the XNS series does not feature a zipper. I am not sure if the m1330 would fit in the XNS series - Looking to hear from anyone who would know...

    Thanks!

It's not really totally germane... But I just thought I'd throw it out there that I really like the stock sleeve that ships with the m1330. All magnet-y and sleek.

You looking for a lower profile or something?

I wanted a neoprene sleeve because that small magnetic clip on the included sleeve is actually not permitted in my lab. We do a lot of work with magnetic susceptibility balances and they are easily affected by even the smallest of magnets. Thus, I want to purchase a neoprene zippered sleeve. But I agree, the included sleeve is very nice.

booji, that's real neat. I was wondering if Dell stopped shipping the XPS sleeve, or something like that. Based on your post, I assume, then, that you did get one, which means Dell is still sending them out, but as you stated, you can't use it at work, which is why you are searching for an alternative.

Might Targus and Kensington have something you need? Check ebags, as they have a good variety at very fair prices and good promos, too.

Dell offers this sleeve when you are configuring the M1330... It's supposed to be for 14", but they probably wouldn't offer it if it didn't fit nicely. Might be worth a shot.

You could also always call and ask them if they recommend anything.

Or maybe you could cut out the magnet? You could probably even figure out a way to get the stock case to stay closed without it... Maybe buy a snap and glue-gun it on or something.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I am looking at Shinza. What exactly are the benefits of the Zeroshock?

It's supposed to give better shock protection than regular neoprene cases and it's not as expensive as some other cases.
