My card reader doesn't work on my Inspiron 1520. As soon as i plug in any card...well, nothing happens. I can't even see the thing in Device Manager.

It's a Ricoh card reader i presume... I downloaded the driver package from Dell and installed it - it says everything is ok but as you can see it's not.

I looked around in Event Viewer and it does seem that none of the Ricoh services are able to start.

These are the errors i get :

    - The Ricoh xD-Picture Card Driver service failed to start due to the following error:
The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.

    - The rimsptsk service failed to start due to the following error:
The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.

    - The rimmptsk service failed to start due to the following error:

Does anyone have any ideea what the problem is? I really need the card reader to work...

Oh, and why don't i see the thing in Device Manager? Where is it located, maybe i missed it?

EDIT : Inlcuded a screen capture of my Device Manager. There's no sign of a Ricoh card reader or any card reader interface. Also, i've checked out another laptop's Device Manager and it's full of Ricoh stuff in several categories.
