    Hi,

For some reason the SD card reader in my Vostro 1500 will not work. I installed Vista Business x64, installed the Ricoh 1.01 drivers for x64, and installed all updates including the KB936825 patch. I have tried 3 different sd cards, two of which I know for a fact worked on this laptop before I installed Vista x64. When I plug in the cards nothing happens. The device manager doesn't change, there is nothing listed under USB devices, and nothing is added to the storage devices in the computer management tool. Also, I have no errors or warnings with anything in my device manager, they all appear to be installed correctly. <a href ="http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~alagree/devices.jpg"/>HERE[/URL] is a picture of the system devices in my device manager.

Any and all help is appreciated!

According to the Dell website, there are no x64 drivers for the 1500. I would wager that's the problem, and why you can't get the device working. FYI - a built-in SD reader will not show up as a USB device; it should be listed in the IDE ATA controller section, as well as have a SD host adapter entry.
