Hey everyone, i have a dell inspiron 1520 and i downgraded to XP for some days ago because of compatibility issues. Only one problem though my laptop cant connect to the modem i have :( this is strange b/c my mac (im on it now) and my sister can still connect (using mac too). I am used to XP so i know that there is supposed to be an Icon where its a PC andif i click it or something like that i can see the wireless networks that are available, this wont work though and its really annoying b/c not only have it lost everything due to downgrading and reformating but i cant get internet and this will ruin a lot for me. I have also tried to connect with a cable but when i put it in nothing happened....please i really need help here (i'm new to the forums so if i've posted the wrong place please send me a link to where i can post it)

Go into your device manager and see if there are any yellow question marks. If there are, then verify that you are running the correct drivers for your WLAN and LAN cards. Downgrading could have impacted the drivers. Let us know if this helps.
