This is had been bugging me for a little maybe someone here can shed some light on the situation.

I bought a Dell laptop put through the order and it was shipped to the carrier while with the carrier Interlink(i'm in Ireland). I decided to cancel the order rang through to customer care got through to some in INDIA and said wanna cancel such and such an order. No problem and all of that but she asked the reason why I canceled.

I paused for a minute and she suggested that the price was an issue and I stupidly said NO it was something else.

NOW, i've been wondering if i had have said yes i think the system is a bit pricey would she have discounted it down for me???????

    Anyone have experience of this???????

Definitely -they want to know how they can keep your business and often times, it may well be due to the price and they have some wiggle room to shave off some cost.

Since you've already canceled, I'm not sure what you can do at this point. If you know the lady's extension, you may want to call back and see if you can work something out.

yep, they will drop there price to make a sale. it is better for them to make a small profit than no profit at all.

you will also find that with telephone/internet providers. which is why i keep looking for deals for my provider to try match. if they can't, you move on.

It is more likely that she would have tried to sell you a financing/pay-per-month plan than lower the price.
