i placed an order with Dell yesterday, and i wanna cancel it ...

upon reflection, i would rather see the laptop i am getting, than trust they will send me the right thing. call me paranoid ... but, well ...

the money was taken out of my account today, would it be easy to cancel? how long would it take to get a refund?

dell guy said if i wanted to cancel, its about 20 days

and dont worry, if dell send you anything wrong, they have to refund or replace it

i think the 20 days he's talking about is the grace period for returns. what did you order and did you pay by direct debit? it might be better just to call & ask them yourself about the turnover time for refunds.

that's what i'm looking at too. the gpu issue with the Vostro isn't likely to happen with the Inspiron if it puts your mind at any ease. but cancelling shouldn't be a problem and you're right it's a good idea to check it out first.
