So I recently ordered a Vostro 1400 thats still in pre-production as of 21/5 and is due to ship on the 9/6 [way longer than I had originally imagined] and want to cancel because it is going to arrive after the end of my uni term time and have managed to find a desktop to use for the last 3 weeks. Therefore it will be of no use to me over the whole of summer. I['d rather get a new one at the start of next year now.

I called to ask if I could cancel but the woman on the other end said I couldn't unless I received a revised shipping date. I don't see why I can't cancel as it isn't even being built yet. It's been pre-production for the last week or so.

Has anyone managed to cancel their order successfully. Please let me know how.

    Thanks.

Have a quick look at their Terms and Conditions for Business Cancellations. I cancelled my 1530 order (for home use) with absolutely no problems, so hopefully the same will apply to you.

I take it that was from the business site then? Was it customized to your specifications as well?

    Thanks
