Which of the two deals would you guys choose?
(Supposing those were the only two options)
-
Well for one you paid too much for 4GB of RAM. (See RAM Deals thread)
I doubt you'll notice a difference between the two processors, but the 8600GT is much more powerful if you play games.
Oh, and there is no point in getting the HD Audio software. It doesn't do anything for you. -
In the first order I wasn't allowed to configure less that 4GB. I didn't have another options so that was it.
Now, with the difference of $70.00 I got with the new deal, I can buy myself 2GB of memory and still get a good change.
I don't agree with you about the processor being the same because I read several threads where lots of people say that the T8300 is faster than the T7500, creates less heat and have a longer battery life. And I was getting the T7250 which is even worst.
About the video card I'm not really a gamer but I know that with XPS laptops, once you get your video card, you will never be able to upgrade it! So a 8400 xps will always be a 8400 xps and that decreases the value of the product. If someday I decide to sell it or something I can get underpaid, maybe... That is only my opinion.
What really bugs me is the fact of choosing a refurbished product over a brand new. I guess I will have to wait and see...
Canceled & reorder
