I had placed order for Inspiron 6400 on May 25th and it was shipped from Malaysia on May 29th but I still haven't received the laptop. A week back when I asked dell for delivery status they told me that my order is currently under custom clearance at their local city center and will take 5-6 days. But it has already been 5-6 days and still their is no sign of my order.

So is it possible that I can cancel my order now and reorder Inspiron 9400(due to reduction in price) at same price or wait for new laptop models(1520, 1720 etc.) since they will be launched by June 26th????

You can't cancell your order because it was already shipped. You will need to recieve it then send it back and they will charge you a restocking fee

Do I need to give some reason why I am sending it back and also how much is the restocking fee??
Since dell has removed 6400 from their website so if I face some hardware related issues in the future will dell consider these issues or replace any defective part??

The restocking fee is 15% of the original purchase price.

Dell will keep 6400 parts on hand for several years to they can replace/repair laptops as per warranty obligations. Very rarely will they not have a needed part.

My experiences with many online retailers is that if you refuse to accept the package when it is delivered to your place. The package simply goes back to Dell and Dell should charge you ZERO.
