    My order is currently in
    Phase 3 In Production

When I call dell they tell me i cannot cancel the order and i have to wait until they delivery it and then call then and they will process the return and a full refund.

Should I accept the delivery as they say or should I deny receipt of the delivery.

    Hey there!

If they said you cannot cancel (you are supposed to be able to cancel up until it's gos into the shipping stage), wait for it to arrive..and then call and get a return process going on it.

And, be mindful that in the UK you have 7 days from receipt of delivery to return to Dell.

    Return information taken from delluk.com:
    http://support.euro.dell.com/suppor...entry?~ck=ln&c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&lnki=0&s=dhs

    Further info from the site:

    Hope that helps! :)

    Cin ;) :)

No problem! I hope that everything works out for you! ;)

I wish that Dell had the same *return policy* for everyone..Not a 7 day for the UK, 21 days for the US..etc. ;)

Please keep us updated on the process!

    Cin ;) :)

I wish they would give the same advice. The people at Customer Services told me to accept the delivery and if I denied it would slow down the refund and the person at EPP Sales told me not to accept the delivery.

Hmm..isn't is just lovely when peep's that work for Dell tell you 2 different things..talk about being on the same page....

I think if you refuse the delivery, it would take the paperwork a lot longer to process, vs. accepting and returning it! ;)

You should be able to (but, you are subject to any restocking/related fees)!..And, remember you only have a 7 day window period, to process that return with Dell!

Ok, that's good. Did you happen to get an e-mail sent to you with a Case Number, showing confirmation of that conversation regarding the *no fees*, and all contained with your return? :D

When you call, and if you speak to the original Rep that told you this, or new one..be sure to get their contact information (outside of the case number which will be told to you / and e-mailed.

Just ask for this, as you want record of the what the conversation entailed!

Case Numbers usually start with a 6, and are 9 digits long..

Here is what one should look like:

Hope that helps you some more! ;)

The 1640 arrived Wednesday and dell are coming to pick it up tomorrow. They did however offer to give me a £178 discount if I didn't return it.
