    Hi everyone...was curious to know will these new inspirons be available at the same time for Canada as well ????

    I hope they release at the same time ..cause i cant wait .....

    one more Question please.....any idea about the price????

    Ok..thanks for the reply guys!!!

    i was talking to one of the guys ..i mean DEll customer service.....and he said that they got an email yesterday saying that the release date has been pushed back.....3 weeks or so...and he also gave a hint that U.S and Canadian release mite differ!!!!

    the dates will vary.. US first then rest of the world later... mostly same for all the companies

    All the other companies tend to wait a few weeks, or even a month before they update their canadian catalog. Dell still has not released the santa rosa latitudes here. Neither has IBM/lenovo with their respective updates.

    Kinda irritating, since the canadian laptops are assembled/shipped out of the same warehouses as the american ones. They probably like pawning off the older tech to us canucks since there are far fewer alternatives. Bestbuy, Futureshop, HPshopping, Gateway, Dell, The source... All american owned, and all account for prob. 95% of the laptops sold in canada.

    Hell, only recently(like in the last 2 months) did bestbuy and futureshop start selling merom based laptops without charging an outrageous premium.(core duo laptops were sold for a bit more then they would be in america, core 2 duo laptops were sold for about 30% more then they were in america)

    It would prob. be a lot cheaper to just drive south and pick the laptop up in the closest american boarder city, and pay the customs/taxes/gas for the trip, than wait an additional month or 2 and pay the 'canadian price'.

    *can you tell i'm pretty bitter about this?*

    well its a shame if they release 2 months after U.S. date...DELL has many customers here and i think people will wait but they deserve a lot better....

    so hopefully as Dell.ca has no more 6400s...maybe the release is on same time!!!

    and i really hope the price is not that high....cause inspirons 6400 or 1505 were on ok price....1000$-1400$CAD....
