Have anyone who ordered a M1330 before the BT module price drop ($80 to $20) been successful in getting the differences refunded? I've tried but gotten nowhere so far with this.

you can try making a reorder with the same specs but something different... and near the end ask to add the BT module (so you only get charged $20 for it)...

basically you get the same order (but you have to change something so that its actually 'different' and you get $60 back +/- the cost of the thing you changed

the only problem with this is that it'll further delay your laptop (most likely) since you probably ordered late june or early july (when the BT was $80).

Basically $60 for getting pushed back in line...

HOWEVER you sohuld be able to get a dell coupon (for something like $50) for your next purchase....

There is an unfortunate side to this... To get the refund, they will have to cancel your order and reorder. This may mean that they dont give you back your discounts as they would feel that 60 should have been eaten up through the discounts.

You see, as soon as you put a discounted system together, all the prices become mute and the overall price prevails.

Its a business accounting practice which... well somehow does work out. Would you rather not ever get the deals???

My thought here??? Try and talk them into either upgrades in warranty which is simple or a free bag. You may get much further with that.

Oh... and make sure both are just marked for upgrade on your file after the system is received. They need your system tag to do this. Its simple really. Remember talk nice. You just might get that 200 warranty upgrade for a 60 dollar inconvenience.

They fixed mine to $20 during the insane ordering cancellations/reordering madness. They'll do it for sure but like people above said, you'll get thrown to the back of the line. :/
