I just got the vostro 1400.. and don't have the patience to install XP.
The only XP program so far that wouldn't run on Vista is my AIM version 5.x
Right click it "compatibility>compatibility mode> select windows 2000 or XP and you have to restart the computer. And AIM ran fine!

i will never use AIM again after finding a program called Pidgin. i think it is the new name of GAIM with some tweaks and cosmetics changed.

just use this...download the first one and you get no ad's...considering this specific version came out within the month im sure its compatible with vista. -

AIM 5.9(whatever, the latest one right before that new aim 6.0 crap came out) works perfectly fine on my computer(even though it's defected).
Still waiting for the new laptop to arrive. -
