Sometimes after I close the cover and computer goes to sleep (or suspend, not sure) mode, I can't resume after I open it. I have to hold the power button for few seconds to shut the windows down, then turn it on again, after which I get the "windows was not shut down properly" error. Is there a fix for this?

    Thanks

Edit: I have Dell Studio 1537 notebook.

Sounds like a video driver issue. Are the video drivers updated?
