    Hi all

I am in the UK and I cannot seem to reach

    http://outlet.euro.dell.com/......

I tried flushing my DNS cache but still cannot ping outlet.euro.dell.com at all. I can get to the outlet marketing blurb page (where you select if you are shopping for Business or Home), but after that I either:

    1. get a "Cannot find Server" message
    or
    2. get redirected to the non-outlet product pages.

Really weird - I'm sure it's my setup; it started happening after Dell revamped their outlet website.

I don't have anything out of the ordinary in my setup (I use FF3.5 & Avira Premium Security Suite).

    Any ideas?

    TIA.
    JG

It had been down for a couple of days, although it seems OK now...

Thanks all for trying, but I'm still stuck.

Both your links send me to non-Outlet Dell pages (and although I'd love an Adamo, I'm not that rich...maybe one day!)

    Thanks anyway.

    Best wishes

Still no luck - "Firefox cannot find the server at outlet.euro.dell.com". I know the site's there - I can reach it from work.

Maybe I'm blacklisted (optional LOL here!)

I'm going to try it through an anonymising proxy.

    Thx

Okay - done. Privoxy+Tor = site found! Amazing!

So, although this is not conclusive, if I masquerade as if coming from somewhere else, I'm fine. But if my request comes via my static IP, no go.

    What gives? Any ideas?

    J.

    Yet more.

My lappy (XPS M1330), connected to same home network, can connect to the UK Dell Outlet without problems. However my desktop cannot. This has to be a s/w issue. Probably Avira, but I cannot think why just now.

    Thanks all,
    J.
