Hey guys, here's my problem....
About two weeks ago, I got on Dell.com and configured a pretty nice e1505 system. The total price at checkout was just a little over $1000, including whatever staple "20% off" discount Dell always gives (you know, the pre-coupon discounts they give everyone?)
Well anyway, at the time, there was one of the "30% off any Inspiron $999 or more" coupons floating around, just like there have been for some time now. I applied the coupon, and it worked, bringing the price down to about $700. Sweet, right?
Well because I didn't have the funds at the time, I saved it to my cart for later. A week later, I came back, and the setup was gone from my cart. So I reconfigured the exact same setup and applied one of the newer 30% off coupons, BUT IT DIDNT WORK. Instead of stacking, it took away the Dell.com discount, and just gave me the coupon discount.
My question is this: Is it ever again possible to stack those 30% off coupons with the pre-existing Dell.com discounts? If I call Dell's customer service, do they have the ability to manually take an additional 30% off?
Or was that a) a glitch or b) just a one-time sweet deal that I missed out on?
Can anyone help? Has anyone done the same thing? As of today, even the $200 off coupons that are floating around don't seem to stack on Dell's discount. In fact, they don't even register when I hit "apply coupon."
Thanks guys,
Josh

As far as I know they are not stackable. When you apply a coupon, it takes out any dell discount already with the system.
If you were able to stack it at one time you should have purchased one then because I have never heard of them being stackable.
However, Dell might have noticed the glitch if you had bought it and cancelled your order. Because if you were able to do it that would be a total of 50% off which will never happen. -
I would say you call Dell and explain your story. No harm trying. -
It was a glitch in Dell's system - if you would've checked out with the notebook, it would've taken off the Dell.com pre-existing discount beforehand.
When I was configuring a M1710 a month or two ago for fun, I got the price down to around $2000 with an Inspiron coupon, but when I tried to check out with it (hey, you can't find a loaded M1710 for $2000 usually), it updated the price to around $3300 -
30% coupons are not stackable
Can't get the 30% Inspiron coupon to stack...but COULD!!!???
