My E1505 came with Creative MEdiaSource and some sonic software. What is the Creative MediaSource software? Is it the drivers for the speakers? What is the Soundblaster Audigy Advanced MB? I have two entries in Add/Remove programs that: one has drivers in its name for 7MB and another is simply Soundblaster Audigy Advanced MB for 128 MB.

I have used the Sonic software before, but what is the update manager? should I remove that?

Can I remove the Creative mediasource without any serious damage?

Will I still be able to control volume and other media using the buttons in front of the laptop?

The creative mediasource software is the soundblaster audigy software. I forgot what the sonic update manager does. I think it updates/installs Sonic software. I'm not sure if there will be any problems with sonic if you uninstall Sonic Update. I use Nero.

Yes you can remove either of these programs. No, the creative software is not your soundcard drivers.
