    I'd totally buy the laptop from the outlet and pop in the advanced processor. Then you'd have a killer gaming rig.

    Yes, they use the same socket (P) and so long as you update the BIOS to the latest, you can do it.

    Make sure you know how to swap a processor though, since you have to be careful handling it and use a cooling compound when you put it back together.

    not worth it.... the 8600gt will only go so far.... now matter how fast the processor is...
