Can you buy extended warranty time from Dell after you buy a laptop? I ordered a refurb from the outlet, and realized too late that Amex doesn't cover refurbs with their "free extra year" warranty thing.
I may try to get the charge moved to a visa, but I have my doubts that Dell will monkey with it-- so I'll probably need to buy an extra year. If you can, is there a time limit? 30 days?

Check out - Customer Care->Warranty Information on Dell's website

Couldn't find "Customer Care," but I noticed under "Service" (same thing?) that you could order extended warranties with a service tag. Since I don't have the machine yet, I'm just looking for confirmation that I can extend the warranty after I get it-- I can't enter a service tag I don't have yet to verify my options.

Yeh, I have a tag and the option is there on the website, but in short - I haven't got round to doing it yet so I'm not sure if outlet systems qualify.

as long as you have a current warrenty active, you can extend it
