Can you change the amount of volume the Media button adjust?

Right now, the increment for Volume up and Down is a bit too drastic (The difference between 0 Volume and "1" Volume is like the difference between night and day on a Earphone), so is there a way to change the amount of volume the media keys increment/decrement by?

Work arounds are also accepted (e.g.: Using autohot keys to re-map it, but I haven't found any short cuts for changing volumes yet).

Oh, this is under Windows XP, in case it matters :p.

EDIT: I figured out how you can do it with a 3rd party Hotkey app! Look at this post.

I noticed this too but I couldn't adjust the volume to suit my liking in MD. I'm assuming this can be fixed by lowering Wave/MP3 volume. This way, the increments will become smaller when increasing the "main" volume.

I counter-act this by setting the wave volume to very low values. Start > Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Volume Control

I also recommend putting the volume control icon in your system tray for quick access. Control Panel > Sounds and... > Sounds > Place icon in tray

Yes, I've already done that (I'm actually an expert with Windows in general... Been using Windows since their 3.1 OS back on a 486 ;)).

I've also looked through all the options in MD... Shucks.

I'll look around, and if I find anything, I'll let you guys know ;).

EDIT: Okay, got it ;). If you guys use Auto-hotkeys (I do :D. Great app--but huge learning curve for beginners. It's all script based), here's a great example code for changing your volume:
This will make the Master volume go up in intervals of 3 when you press the Left Alt button :).

Simply modify the "3" to change the volume by the amount you wish :).

EDIT: Oops, corrected a typo with the variable "Sounder".

EDIT #3: Scratch that code above, much better idea:
A low down of what this does:
Sets your Volume Down Media button to F22, and Volume Up Media button to F23.

Then when F22 is pressed, reduce the volume by 1% as opposed to 3% (that's the default increment, I found out), then when F23 is pressed, the opposite happens (a.k.a. increment by 1%).

    Hope that helps :D.
