I usually go to the Canadian site for Dell, because I live in Canada, but I recently clicked on a link which took me to the US site, and WOW what a difference!! The US site offers WAY more options and has MUCH better prices! So I was wondering if someone living in Canada is able to order a laptop from the US site?

That is a REAL bummer! Do you think that they will bring more options to Canada in the near future?

What kind of options? We usually get the same options although sometimes a bit later and at a higher cost...

They will eventually have more options, but it seems that all of the Dell sites around the world differ slightly in what they offer. You could look on eBay if there is something you want but can't get directly from Dell.

you actually ca buy from Dell USA in Canada but you have to use a proxy server in the US and Dell will not ship it outside of US (I think)

There is also problems with warranty. Dell Canada will not honour the warranty. You'll have to deal with Dell US.

colours and designs for one thing... The US offers over 100 different ones now, but in Canada we can't even get the graphite for the Studios....

We get left over inventory in Canada. Whatever they cannot sell or no longer in demand in the US, they push it to Canada. The bargain bin then pushes its way down to Stooples and Costco. Just great heh?

If you purchase 3+ years, you get international warranty.

That is pretty much every single company's view of Canada...
