Before purchasing my new dell d620 laptop, i've owned and used toshiba laptops. Most of them had a nice feature on the touchpad that allowed me to scroll up or down via the touchpad while using a web browser or microsoft word. I didnt realize how great a feature this was, until i got the dell and that feature is not currently available on the dell. Is there a way i can download the toshiba touchpad driver into my dell. I googled the feature and the company that makes it is called synaptics and they have a demo ( http://www.synaptics.com/flash/online_version.swf) on their site of what i want my dell touchpad to do. If I download the driver will it work on my dell. I was just wondering before I try to install it. Or is there any other software thats compatible with dell that I can install to add this feature on my Dell D620 laptop.

It should automatically do that. Try the touchpad settings by right clicking on the icon area in the taskbar with the touchpad.

Make sure you have actually installed the drivers/software for your touchpad, then check your settings (control panel->mouse) to make sure it is enabled.

It worked, under the control panel, when u select the mouse icon, I chose the gesture tab. It allows me to do everything that my old toshiba laptop could do. Thanks again
