    Can the m1530 utilize 800mhz memory?

    Hey, im looking to upgrade my memory to faster 800 mhz corsair units, you think vista 32 will work with it, if it does, will it utilize the memory effectively?

    Yes. You have to wait for Montevina if you want your RAM at 800MHz.

    Yes, Santa Rosa shipsets only support memory upto DDR2 667. ANything higher will downclock.

    Intels next chipset should add support for DDR2 800.

    Montevina up to 1066Mhz I hear. But higher CL so well don't get too excited.

    No, 1066mhz is for the Front Side Bus of the processor, not RAM. RAM goes up to 800mhz.

    You are correct in so far as I was wrong, it can use 1333Mhz DDR3 RAM. So I guess if prizes were given out for being closer? I would win. ;) Here is a link. :) And as I said CL makes it less than a perfect math equation but 1333Mhz regardless of CL is going to be faster.
