Well, I just took delivery of an E1505 today. I have been reading through the forum about how to do a clean scrub and reinstall to get rid of the Dell bloatware. I found the sticky where it says to request from Dell the install CDs for Sonic and PowerDVD. I call Dell and the CSR proceeds to tell me some BS stuff....which basically leads down to the path of no.

So if anyone out there knows where I can download this or get an ISO file, I would be very appreciative.

    Thanks.

those are not free. You have to get them from Dell.

What you're asking here is illegal.

No it's not illegal for what I'm asking. I already have the software loaded on my laptop from the factory. It's obvious Dell knows we're reformating the drives to remove all the bloatware they put on their standard OS installs. That's why they're making it difficult for people like me to get their hands on the application install discs to keep us from removing the bloatware. I already paid for the software when I bought the laptop. I'm just trying to find an easier way to get the install discs which should have come with the stupid laptop to begin with without having to jump through stupid hoops to get it.

I would try dell again, the next CSR might be more helpful plus I've seen post where people have gotten the CD from dell when they it wasn't deliverd with notebook. Good luck

I might have to try calling again. It's stupid that I have to play games just to configure a laptop I paid good money for the way I want it.
