    Can someone explain these charges?

    Looking at my itemized bill...

1 983-5942 Type 15- Third Party At HomeService with Nights and Weekends, 24x7 Technical Support,2 Year Extended $251

1 988-5617 Dell Hardware Warranty PlusOnsite Service, Initial Year $189

1 984-2360 Type 15- Third Party At Home Service with Nights and Week ends, 24x7 Technical Support, Initial Year $56

Why am I being charged the $189? It seems like I am paying for 2 warranties. If anyone calls and tries to add a 3 year warranty to their laptop it normally costs about $300.

Whats this $189 charge? Should I call and argue it?

Looks like you're paying for Dell to come round or a 3rd party if Dell isn't available.

I just wanted a standard 3 year in home warranty. It looks like I have 2 warranties for the first year. $490 seems excessive for a 3 year warranty as well.....

Actually, it looks like you're paying for both Dell and Third-Party OnSite the first year, and a third-party OnSite Extended Warranty for 2 additional years.

You may want to check with Dell to see if you can do away with the Dell On-Site and just have Third Party OnSite for the entire warranty period.

They invoice things weirdly. Look at the total system price. Is it the same as what you specified online? They most likely charged you $189 less for the system, and added that $189 back for the warranty line item. It's worth checking into, but is probably nothing out of the ordinary.
