a few questions i have while customizing the laptop...
    should i go with:
    -Dell Wireless 1505 Wireless-N Mini-card?
-Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy HD Software Edition? (its just software though so i don't really NEED it right?)
-Dell Wireless 355 Bluetooth Internal (2.0 + Enhanced Data Rate)?
-add the Dell Travel Remote Control, IR (since its $0 to upgrade to it instead of nothing?)

    specs:
    -PROCESSOR Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7100 (2MB cache/1.8GHz/800Mhz FSB)

Yes, drop the Sound Blaster software.

I would recommend upgrading to the T7300

-Dell Wireless 1505 Wireless-N Mini-card? no reason not too and it is a nice addon.
-Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy HD Software Edition? a different chip is used on the board and software is provided to activate it, if you do music intensive tasks then you may want it but i would not get it.
-Dell Wireless 355 Bluetooth Internal (2.0 + Enhanced Data Rate)? def worth it you may also want to consider getting the BT headset?
-add the Dell Travel Remote Control, IR nice little upgrade and i would get it as its a nice addon.

those specs look good to me, i would up the warranty to how long your going to keep the laptop just incase.
also depending on your needs i would recommended at least a T7300 processor and a WXGA+ screen for good gaming, performance and screen clarity but it depends on what your usage will be. :)

If i were you i will buy the Bluetooth Module (355) separtely and install myself as it costs only $25 when you buy it alone. I guess they have made the installation little complicated with Inspiron 1520, it was so easy with E1505... If you aren't comfortable with installation i would suggest you to drop it i guess it costs around $80 i am correct (isn't it???). Expect that it is good configuration.

    How much it cost you?

Yea the remote doesn't come as standard with Inspiron Models but strangely costs nothing to have one when you configure your laptop. If you don't pay attention you gonna miss it (Bravo Dell..... ).

Not sure about the sound blaster chip though... any suggestion Dervis???

arunmkumaran is right that the remote does not come as standard but if you ask for it when ordering then you can get it for free, bit dum but all good :)
The soundblaster thingy is basically a different chip on board than the original standard one, if you get the soundblaster and do not use the software then it will be the same as the standard but if you use the software then it activates the chips features, hope you understand :)
