I was wondering since there have been many complaints/concerns about the getting a bad LCD with the M1530.

If one were to buy the M1530 through DELL Outlet, and recieves the grainy LCD, is it possible to get the better LCD?

I ask this since I know it is 100% possible if you buy it NEW, but have yet seen people comment (if one has, sorry, didnt see it) if one buys it refurbished.

    THANKS !!!!!!!!

Yeah, you should be able to. Even though you bought it from the outlet, it comes with the standard one year warranty and you should be able to use that and get your screen replaced.

I do suggest asking Dell just to double check, but I don't see why they wouldn't.

I thought most (if not all) of the grainy screen problems were in the 1680x1050 ones?

If you hate your screen, you can ask for another one. But you may get a refurbished screen since you bought a refurbished laptop.

You'd get a refurbished screen anyways. Any "warranty" claims get replaced with refurb parts.

Yes you can. I had my LCD screen replaced for my refurbished 1420 without problem.
