I want to make some changes to my E1505 because i realized that with different coupons i can upgrade to a 1.83GHz Core Duo and a 60GB 7200RPM HDD for $80. Will Dell let me do this or will they make me cancel it and make a new order? Will i get charged a restocking fee if i do? I called Dell but the department i need is closed.

I'm asking if anyone on here knows. I already called Dell and that department isn't open.

Yep, just cancel your order, and re order it with different specs. No restocking fee, since nothing basically, was packaged even yet

Actually...does anyone know if doing this is worth my time and money? Isn't the performance increase from a T2300 to a T2400 less than 10% or something? Would I really notice the difference with a 7200RPM HDD and a 5400RPM one? I was thinking i could just leave the order alone and upgrade to 2GBs of RAM instead.

You can't seem to make any changes to an order even 5 minutes after it was placed. Your always going to be told instead to cancel what you did order, then reorder.

Cancel the order and reorder with the opgrade options your asking about, the performance gains will be well worth the extra 1-2 days of waiting to get your new order in.

Keep in mind the return policy is 21 days from when Dell shipped it out, if for some reason you receive it and you are contemplating returning it.
