Hi y'all smart gurus and experts,

Well I like my new Dell Latitude D520 but... it only holds ONE battery. does anyone know if you can put any type of second battery in the thing? The manual seemed to hint that yes you could... but where would it go? into the dvd bay? if so, who sells such a thang.

Old Inspiron was a heavy tank but held a second battery which was awesome when it came to long plane flights etc.

    thanks everyone & cheers

Yep, the D520 can indeed hold a second, 6 cell media bay battery which would take the place of your CD/DVD bay. I would buy a Dell branded battery, they are available here from Dell.com.

Wow, thanks for this great news! Hm, I see that the battery is a different shape though. This info helps though & I appreciate it!
