I have a Panasonic G20 HDTV which is wireless ready. I bought the Panasonic/ Netgear wireless adapter for the TV, so the TV is connected to my home network. I also have an Inspiron 15r S.E. from which I'd like to stream media to my TV.

From what I understand I have all the necessary hardware to make this work, with the Panasonic/ Netgear adapter I don't think I need their Push2TV box (or whatever it's called). My question is, how do I set everything up?

I can't get the laptop to see the TV even though I can wirelessly go on the Internet with the TV fine. I can't find anything in the TV's menu that sees the PC. Anyone have any ideas?

I really appreciate any help given.

    Thanks

    Hi,

To help you with this, could you please mention the details about the wireless card that is installed in your Laptop or please provide me with the Service tag? It will help us to check if the Wireless card has “My Wi-Fi” capability and I can explain to you how to set up the Laptop display on the TV wirelessly.

Please make sure that you send the Service tag only through a Private message I have added you to my friends list. You may accept the request and send the private message to me.

Please do write back in case you need any further assistance.

    Thanks & Regards

Thank you for the quick response. I am really impressed by the way Dell's representatives are involved in this forum. However, I believe I have found the problem.

To my knowledge, the U.S. version of the Panasonic G20 is not Dlna equipped. I believe this means that, even though I have the wireless adapter for my TV, it will be unable to read the PC unless physically linked by a HDMI cable.

If I am wrong, and do not need Dlna to use my TV as a wireless monitor, please let me know and I will gladly forward my Service tag #.

Thank you again for your quick respons.

    Hi,

I have checked and found that the Panasonic G20 requires a physical connection like HDMI. If the Laptop has an Intel wireless card and integrated Intel video card/ a video card with Optimus technology or Intel-AMD switchable graphics card then you can purchase a Wi-Di adapter for the TV and get it connected to your laptop wirelessly. I am referring to the Intel Wireless Display (WiDi) technology. Please open the below mentioned link and refer to the same for the complete information about this technology and the set up.

How to Connect Laptop to TV with Intel® Wireless Display (WiDi)

I hope this helps. Please do write back in case you need any further assistance.

    Thanks & Regards
