Hello, I have already paid mi XPS M1530 with 1 year of warranty.

I case I wanted to extend that period (it's 180€ for 2 years... too much I think) can I do it now that I have paid? It would cost the same? Once the included year is gone, how much would it cost me to "repair" the laptop without extra warranty years?

The price to fix it without warranty will depend on what kind of damage need to be repaired. I think you can buy extended warranty as long as the originl one is not gone at least that how it used to work with Acer so I guess it should be the same with Dell.

I know with Dell Canada, you can extend the warranty as long as it's still under warranty. It is more expensive to do that after the fact, as opposed to purchasing it with the system however. (Typically $200 for an additional 2 years versus $150 with the system.)

I just added Complete Care to a 1420 I purchased in November. $119 for 3 years.

You have to call your local Dell division. The warranty extension quote depends on a number of factors:

    1. Model of your system.
    2. Prior service history (i.e. part exchange/failure rate of your machine)
    3. Customer history
    4. Current warranty status

Your warranty quote will certainly be more than when you purchased the system. Only if you upgrade your warranty within 30/21 days of your system's invoice date can you get the same warranty quote as the one you saw when pricing the system. If your system is out of warranty, a penalty fee applies (but in order to do so, the system's warranty must have elapsed within 6 months of the request for extension)

I got a call from Dell 2-3 weeks after ordering a 1525 for my wife in January. They asked me to extend my warranty from 1 year to 3 years. I paused a bit for dramatic effect, hedged a little, and when it was all said and done added 3 years for $169 and got a $75 gift card. Not sure if that was a great deal or not but glad to have the extra coverage.

Well I haven't received the laptop yet so according to what you said it would be the same price?

What's the difference between Hardware Warranty and Accidental Warranty (¿Complete Care? My Dell website is not in English) ? If your hardware is broken and you have Complete Care you can throw your laptop down the stairs and ask for a new one?

Here 3 years of accidental warranty are almost 230€ and 3 years of hardware warranty (actually 4 years, until may) are 200€ so it's... too much.
