    Can I put geforce go7800gtx in inspiron 9400?

    I have an inspiron 9400 with core 2 duo but the go7900 512mb is broken can I replace the video card with go7800gtx 256mb that came from m170 laptop?

    I want to know because I dont want to spend more money for another video card. Does anyone know?

    You can swap your graphics card to a few different models:
    7800GTX, 7900GTX, 7950GTX, Quadro FX1400M, Quadro FX2500M.

    You should be able to swap the graphics card from the m170 into your inspiron 9400 given it has the same connector.

    By the way, the inspiron 9400 is the same as the E1705
