My 1737 right now has a T9400. Using 35 Watt TDP. A P9700 runs at 28TDP. But would it be compatible BIOS and all?

Still looking forwards to the 32nm chips, but I can get a dirt cheap P9700 why not.

No reason it shouldn't work. Just make sure you have the latest BIOS, etc.

Nobody here represents Dell or so. We can't guarantee it will work in practice. That's it.
Maybe someone with previous experience about changing the cpu in a 1373 can acknowledge it worked with his 1337? -
moral hazard Notebook Nobel Laureate
LOOOOLLLLLL
That is all that I can offer.
And BTW, yes the CPU will most likely work as others have said.
There is no better forum. If somebody on another forum tells you that there is 100% chance of it working then they are stupid and don't know anything about stats. -
I can confirm the the 1737 is 1337
Can I put a P9700 CPU into my 1737 YES/NO
