AS the title imply, I'd like to put in a CULV processor into the 14z, to let it be able to compete against the aSus UL series' battery life of 12 hours. I undrestand that 14z can get up to 6 hours on a 8 cell, and I"m wanting to go that route, if possible.. to extend it to maybe 9 hours? Which is quite good already, in my standards.

Thanks in advance for your replies!

Nope, sorry. CULV processors are available only in BGA packages, which must be soldered directly onto the mainboard of a compatible computer.

These actually do work as advertised, but with respect to battery life, it's kinda like going from a 35W T-Series to a 25W P-Series. While the load TDP is signficantly lower, the idle power draw is not that much lower, and therefore, unless you're usually loading your laptop fairly heavily under batter power, it won't make a huge difference.
