    I wanted to know if its possible to hookup my desktop and have the information displayed on the monitor of my inspiron 9300? I dont have a monitor for the tower as it broke

    there is a software product, I think it might even be free that will let you use a laptop as a secondary display, but I cant think of the name of it, I have a decent 17" crt I'm trying to get rid of, if you would have anyway to pick it up your welcome to it, shipping it probably wouldnt be worth the cost though

    Are both the laptop and the desktop on a local area network? Are both systems Windows XP? If so, use Remote Desktop Connection.

    How do I use this if I dont have a monitor for my desktop? I just need to get the files off that computer onto my laptop.
