I want to know where I can buy the Studio's remote control. I also want to know if it will work with Inspiron 1525. The one for Inspiron has less buttons and probably not for Windows Media Center.

I was betting on the same thing when I bought my studio. I was planning on saving a bit of money at the time and buying the remote seperately later on. Then I found out that Dell simply shoved a piece of plastic into the remote slot, and so far I haven't been able to remove said piece of plastic :(

I'm afraid instead of answering your question, I'm double asking it and adding this:

Is it possible to remove that peice of plastic without breaking/imploding your laptop?

You have to press on the piece of plastic twice to get it out of the system and you can insert any card into it. Even if you had bought the remote, dell would have put the piece of plastic in the express card slot and packed the remote seperately. I guess its to prevent dust from entering inside.

    Ah. I see.

Well I look like a total idiot now. I am dissapointed and ashamed at myself.

Excuse me, I have an appointment with a tub of Phish Food to make myself feel better. <(^_^)>
