Is it really worth it? Are there better numbers or specific departments to call to obtain more accurate information? Should I wait until they are starting to be shipped...?
I've always believed patience is a virtue and I the waiting isn't killing me...but as I read all the posts, I am getting more excited.
I ordered my M1330 on July 4th and have a shipping date of August 2nd.

There are no better sources than the post Ive been updating, for Canada in any case. Im gonna guess there are similarities US side as well (sku's)
Im getting it directly from the Edmonton Head Office and another on that post is getting it from the factory in the US...
And so far everything seems to be bang on completely. (Whew!!!!) -
I only see "Production" with the next available stage as "Shipping"
I dont know where people are seeing "Boxing" and "Building" and "Testing" and that sort of detail. Any Idea? -
you have to call the 24/7 dell line that gives you updated status on your order.

I think he wants the phone number for that

1-800-433-9014 (United States orders ONLY)

Thanks for the number.
Is it worth my while? Many of the other posts mention unreliable info, etc. -
I think its more reliable than the online utility (although the Purchase ID order status doesn't seem too reliable)
-
I called the number, its legit. Said my 1400 was in "build" stage, I do know what if build means anything different from "In Production" on the website status.
Mostly this just gives status peepers something else to do. -
Hellllllllllll yeah!!!!!!!!
Just called them and my lappie is in the boxing stage!!! (it's been in production for 2 weeks!!)
yeaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!!
Anyone has got a clue how long does boxing usually take? -

My unit went from "in production" (online status) to SHIPPED TODAY (via online chat with a confirmation waybill for tracking!!!!)
That's less than one week... now, how long will it take to get from Texas to Toronto?!?!
Calling to check on order status?
