    Hi..

I've been trying to load different live versions of Linux (Knoppix, DSL, Ubuntu, etc.) with my E1705 and haven't had any luck with getting any of them to work. They usually just lock up during the "install"...

Has anyone had any luck with any version?

If so..I would like to know which one..

    Thanks..

    Mike

That model hasn't made the Dell list yet at Linux-Laptops but the Dell area is very well populated (w/ standard installs not Live CD versions) on many other models so you may be able to find some useful info by looking at a couple of other installs
