Whether or not people believe or or whatever, it's up to them...but I assure you I am a member of MSDN AA. However, my school doesn't have a download site or anything...you just get the disk from the program coordinator, in which I did before the semester ended for Vista x64 (because I knew I was getting a laptop sometime over the summer, in which I wanted to install x64). So anyway, I got the disk burned for me...but on first boot everytime, I get a BSOD. I was wondering if there was anyone who would be kind enough to grant me access to their downloads, or PM me with a direct download or something for the x64 ISO so I don't need to wait until Fall Semester because I want to get this installed ASAP.

If someone doesn't believe me, or despite of this it still violates the rules please excuse me...but this is a genuine request, that can even be fulfilled via PM if need be. Thanks!

Ya, but I have my 1420 in front of me...and it has Home Basic on it - HAHA

I don't really want to install Vista Business x86 and get all situated to reformat in like a month...my friend is using BitTorrent to download it just in case, but that might take a while and isn't exactly legal <_<

And someone sending you an ISO is any more legal? The media itself is worthless -- if you have a legal key for the copy you're running it doesn't really matter where you get it from.

Yes, because it's an MSDN AA subscriber giving download access to another MSDN AA subscriber...

Microsoft has the option to buy a disk without a key on their site. It is like 5 or 7 dollars. Just do that.

This is definitely against MSDN AA licensing rules. As CingCrab said, as long as you have a legal key, the media is a moot point.

I don't want to pay like $10 for a disk to ship to my house, and who knows how long that'll take. Plus I'm not even sure if it'll accept a MSDN AA key.

I wouldn't say it's definitely against MSDN AA licensing rules, I'm a subscriber and I think that would be much better than downloading from say a torrent...if anything it's against the institution rules, using their bandwidth when I don't go there...

But just looking for someone to help me out here!

Sure you can, many people do that on a daily basis...nothing preventing you from doing that, however it is against the law. However, it is not against the law for someone to share better access to something in which I have been granted access anyway. My school is just too cheap to host themselves, and you need to get disks made for you...but my disk is corrupted.

It appears as if no one is willing to help me :(

Well I can't use it, but my friend is...it's currently going to take like 2 more days to download though, was hoping I could get it faster so I can get to work on my 1420!
